Nidhi by Purnima Mariah

Nidhi

Some people think that they don’t need friends or even Best-Friends! They think that they are so much better that they don’t need anyone, but I think differently about friends. For me you need friends to make you laugh at the darkest of times and I have learnt that from my B.F.F, Nidhi.

Nidhi, a smart active, a total positive thinker, who understands different perspectives of different people at different times and with, of course, a person with a soft heart.

All those points make Nidhi an amazing friend, a life supporter. Since I already told you something about Nidhi, I mustn’t stop. So get comfy for you are about to meet a new friend.

The first thing you need to know about her is about her being able to understand perspectives of different people at different times, for example once Nidhi and I were trying to join back 2 people after they fought. I could not bring them back together, but then Nidhi was there and brought them back together in a jiffy, by telling them equally good reasons to be together!

Now isn’t that an amazing quality that almost everybody needs? You might think that this is the best reason why I like Nidhi, but sadly you’re wrong!! There are 2 more reasons where one of them IS the most important one.

Secondly, she as I said before, she is a total positive thinker, who taught me that life has multiple choices, including both positive and negative. So whenever you are feeling down or thinking only about the negative side of things, you can count on Nidhi to cheer you up!! Are you all wondering why I’m thinking this about her? Well there are many times when she was the P.T.D {positive thinking doctor}, but I have a story where it generalizes many incidences together.

On a basically perfect evening {but not for me} my friends and I were playing on a rough road. While I was running, Nidhi screamed, I thought a car was going to hit me but instead a big ditch lined with stones. As usual I fell in it with a big Thud!!! Nidhi ran towards me in full speed and soon she tried to pick me up. I was thinking about how bad the cut is is or what are my parents going to do? Then, right then Nidhi held my and said, “Look at the bright said, you don’t need to go for piano class for a long time”

You should have seen my face, I had an ear ‘2’ ear smile until I went home where I started to over exaggerate.

Voila!! My best reason! The total necessity of life. This reason taught me that if you think only about the negative side of things, it’s not going to get you anywhere in life.

Let’s not waste time and go on to the third reason of this essay because I’m sure that you might want you read other essays!

Alas, it’s time for the last reason. Whatever I’ve told you about Nidhi show her being brave, fearless and even understanding, that she will basically never cry, that she will never feel sorry, but I’m sorry, you are wrong! She still has some space in her heart for emotions, a kind heart. She taught me that you shouldn’t always be strong; you should also let some love and kindness come into your hearts to balance ourselves. I learn’t this when……

Once a few people were ganging up on me and Nidhi stood up like what Nidhi would do, and then Nidhi went behind me and started to cry. When those bullies were gone, Nidhi was ever so kind to me.

While writing this I realized that best-friends are a necessity of life because if you are feeling down, or angry, they are always there to cheer you up, to add humor to your lives and also makes you think only about the side of everything.
